Data Collection Interfaces

The farm is where it begins.

Three interfaces collect all primary field data. The Farmer App (React Native, offline-first, Kannada + English) handles farmer registration, GPS parcel boundary walk, practice event logging, and credit display. The Field Agent Dashboard (React web) manages GPS-verified farm visits, practice cross-referencing, soil sample coordination, and anomaly resolution. The Admin Console handles baseline lock, FPO management, and full audit trail access.

Every write is authenticated, authorised, and audited.

FastAPI on Python 3.11 serves as the single integration point for all data. PostgreSQL 15 + PostGIS 3 on Supabase (Mumbai region). Row-level security enforced at the database layer — not just the application layer. Every data modification produces an immutable audit log entry in the same transaction. Three-level integrity: Pydantic validation → PostgreSQL constraints → database triggers. The immutable audit_logs table raises an exception on any UPDATE or DELETE attempt.

Verification Engine

Four independent sources. Zero manual reconciliation.

The verification engine cross-references farmer-reported data against agent-observed values automatically when each visit is submitted. Discrepancies set a flag and block the parcel from calculation. Satellite anomalies trigger agent re-verification. The SHA-256 hash chain across all audit log entries creates a tamper-evident provenance trail that satisfies Verra VM0042 and India CCTS audit requirements.

Satellite MRV Pipeline

Continuous independent observation. Every five days.

Sentinel-2 MSI at 10m resolution (5-day revisit), Landsat 8/9 for historical baseline, Resourcesat-2 at 5.8m for high-resolution Karnataka verification, and Sentinel-1 SAR for cloud-penetrating monsoon observations. All processed via Google Earth Engine Python API. NDVI, EVI, LSWI, SOC proxy, crop classification, and anomaly detection computed per parcel per observation. Monsoon cloud cover automatically covered by SAR.

Carbon Calculation Engine

Conservative by design. Reproducible by architecture.

VM0042 and India CCTS calculations run simultaneously. The conservative output is used for credit issuance. Five steps: SOC stock change (physical + satellite proxy), N2O emission factors (IPCC AR6 GWP100 = 265), gross GHG reduction, required deductions (leakage, permanence buffer 10–15%, uncertainty discount 5–12%), and net credit output. Every calculation stores the model version — exact reproduction at any future registry audit.
